Foam
Deluge Fire Sprinkler Systems for Air Plane Hangars
Foam
deluge fire sprinkler systems are the best choice for protecting
air plane hangars due to the fact that air plane hangars
have high value contents and the
potential
for flammable
liquid
fires.
Foam
deluge systems are connected to a water supply through a deluge
valve that is opened by the operation of a smoke or heat detection
system. Detection systems are installed in the same area as
the sprinklers. AR-AFFF foam is mixed in with the water supply
from
a foam bladder
tank.
When the detection system is activated foam water
discharges through all of the sprinkler heads in the system. Sprinkler
heads are open at all times and the pipes are not pressurized with
air.
The
pictures show an air plane maintenance
hanger. The building is sprinkled through
out but the pictures are only of the high expansion foam deluge
system.
